In Kragujevac, in organization of MAS, on December 4th, MAS practical training was held, coordinating by Dragana Tireli. And this time training was more than well attended, 35 Magistrates from Kragijevac area was present.

Lecturer Prof Dr Stanko Bejatović, Professor at the Kragujevac University held lectures on the subject of Felony vs. Misdemeanor, Felony vs. Economic Misdemeanor, and Criminal charges-Main Hearing; Dr Nedeljko Jovančević- lawyer, member of the Serbian Bar Association held a lecture on the subject of The Role of a Defense Attorney and Miroslav Simić MA - Public Prosecutor, held a lecture on the subject of The Role of a Public Prosecutor in a Misdemeanor Trial and Disposition with a Claim When There Is No Open Hearing.

Local media representatives, Radio “Kragujevac” and “Kragujevac” TV, were present at training and were very interested in MAS activities.

Magistrates were very interested for this kind of education, and interested to attend more trainings like this, specially now when New Law of Misdemeanor is to go into effect. Discussion at the end was full of questions about implementation of New Law.

On November 27th 2006 in Dundjerski Castle, near Becej, MAS practical training coordinated by Dragana Tireli was held.

This training was attended by 33 magistrates from Bečej area, Novi Sad council. Magistrates were very interested in subject matter and even lecturers said that this was the most interesting discussion. And this time also, the questions were mostly about implementation of New Law of Misdemeanor.

On November 20th 2006 in Nis, MAS practical training was held, coordinated by Dragana Tireli, Belgrade Magistrate.

Training was attended by 38 Magistrates from Nis area and 3 members of local Police. Lecturers Dr Danilo Nikolić, Niš District Court Chairman and Gordana Božilović Petrović MA, Belgrade District Court Jundge - War Crimes Council, held lectures on the subject of Felony vs. Misdemeanor, Felony vs. Economic Misdemeanor, and Criminal charges-Main Hearing; Stojadin Mitić- lawyer, member of the Serbian Bar Association held a lecture on the subject of The Role of a Defense Attorney and Aleksandar Petković - Public Prosecutor, held a lecture on the subject of The Role of a Public Prosecutor in a Misdemeanor Trial and Disposition with a Claim When There Is No Open Hearing.

This time as well, participants showed interest in the topics that were discussed during the training and for practical examples. Discussion at the end was very long. Magistrates are concerned about application of New Law of Misdemeanor.

Media representatives were present at training and were very interested in MAS activities.
